"Balsam Lake Provincial Park is a large campground in the Kawartha Lakes region with a ton to offer, including hiking trails, great birding, and excellent boating and fishing. Despite some challenging weather during our stay, we had a great time and highly recommend it."
"We really enjoyed our fall camping weekend at Balsam Lake Provincial Park. We give this park 4 out of 5 stars for its hiking trails, great amenities, beautiful beach, well-maintained grounds, and private campsites."
"The campsites are a lot closer together than I would like, but we were in a radio-free area, so it was pretty quiet. Our hydro was out for almost 24 hours, which was a downside. The beach is vast and clean, with a dedicated dog beach."
