Charleston Lake Provincial Park is a favorite family camping destination offering excellent swimming, boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Its rocky lake and forest landscape is an extension of the Canadian Shield. The park features great hiking trails, including a vantage point from the highest peak in the county, and a Nature Centre with a Natural Heritage Education program. "Let's start with the Pros: Beautiful lake with motor boat and canoe access; Nice hiking trails with fresh mulch where needed; Clean modern bathhouse with laundry ($3.50 to wash or dry); Nice staff."
"Love this campground due to its lake location, great for kayaking, paddleboarding, beach access and hiking. I am always disappointed with the campsites quality and maintenance. Our site had some issues."
"Charleston Lake offers something for everyone. There is an excellent sand beach; the huge lake is pristine. I canoe camped in a tent. We visited Charleston Lake Provincial Park, no overnight stay."
